Club Activities
Club Nights - played all year round
Organised club play is on Mondays at 6.30pm with organised doubles. There is a mixture of games throughout the evening with all standards catered for. The focus of club night is on a friendly, social enjoyment basis for all. A mixture of games are played, so all can enjoy their evening. After your tennis you are welcome to relax with cool refreshments and enjoy the social atmosphere.
Midweek Tennis
Organised play from 9.30am to noon every Monday and Wednesday for the rest of the year, catering for both men and women at all levels; beginners to advanced welcome. Social fun and tennis is the focus of midweek. Tournaments are held from time to time and every level is catered for, all club members and visitors are welcome to midweek tennis.
Senior Interclub
Organised by the Taranaki Association, this is played October through to March, Soffe Cup, A2, A3 & A4 is played on Saturdays. Thursday nights during this time is A grade practice, if interested in playing competition tennis, please contact Club Captain Shane Devlin 06-758 3247 (work) or 027 318 9470.
Ladies Interclub
The ladies also have their own interclub played on Monday's, commencing early October. Those interested should contact Robyn Masters 027 200 8226
Presidents Grade
This is a competition run by North Taranaki Tennis for those 35 years of age and over from mid October. It is held on a Saturday afternoon starting at 2pm and comprises teams of 2 men and 2 ladies and doubles and combines are played. Business House Tennis
This is for everyone and gives an opportunity to involve members and non-members in social tennis, teams of 3 playing doubles; two matches per night for each player. Spring competition runs from October to mid-December and the Summer competition runs from late January to mid-April. Played Wednesday night at 6pm. Casual Play
All members are welcome to play on the courts at any time other than when the courts are being used for tournaments, competition play or coaching. Members can bring one non-member to play free of charge, however if you bring more than one, we expect a fee of $5 each.
The courts are available at night to all members. Lights keys are available for purchase, which gives you unlimited use for the whole season.
Lights must be turned off at 10pm.
Juniors may bring parents to practice with at no extra cost.
Correct footwear to be worn and please check that the gate and clubhouse is locked when you leave.
Junior Interclub
Northern Division interclub for juniors and youth grade is on Friday nights for a 6 week period commencing after Labour weekend; played on courts throughout the New Plymouth area, players must be prepared to play most Fridays, 4 players (boys or girls). Both singles and doubles are played. Parent help with travel and supervision is required.
Hot Shots Coaching
This is the national starter programme for children, which uses smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls to make learning tennis easy and fun. Hot Shots coaching takes place after school on Monday and Tuesday from 3.30pm. Monthly Hot Shots competitions will be held during the season.
Junior Coaching
Moving up to junior coaching on Monday and Tuesday from 3.30pm. Additional coaching from our club coach is available at any time - contact Ghislaine Brien 027 4259594

Our club coaches are available for individual or group coaching (as above).
Access to courts
All financial members can use the courts at all times. Financial members can purchase a key with their subs. All subs are due by the 31st October.
Access to Club House
The club rooms are open on all organised tennis days.
The club rooms are alarmed. We ask that all members help by leaving our club rooms in a clean and tidy state and read the notice by the door before leaving.
